Dear FCC family,
This is an unusual Holy Week. All around the world, physical church premises are closed and there will be no elaborate Good Friday or Easter services. Perhaps this is not a bad thing because in essence, the church is made up of you and me — a community of believers who are committed to relationship, following Jesus, helping others and reminding each other of God’s character and love.
In the midst of staying home physically, we will still carry on telling the story of Jesus, of death and life, of cross and resurrection, and if we let go of our previous images of Easter, we may come to see Easter in a more authentic, transformative light.
So join us as we gather together online to remember Good Friday and celebrate Resurrection Sunday.

One way you can embody Christ’s love this Easter is to help contribute to the food donation drive for the T Project shelter, the only homeless shelter for trans women in Singapore. With the current crisis, they are at full capacity with many residents out of work, and they are running short of food. Given the limitations of the current situation, we are collecting monetary donations this time, and a few of our volunteers will use the money collected to help purchase groceries and other essentials and deliver it to the shelter. Excess donations will be used for food vouchers and general support. We still need 4 more volunteers due to current purchase quota restrictions, so if you can help, please let us know. May this Holy Week be a meaningful one for us as we embody the love of Christ to others and turn our eyes to the One in whom we live and move and have our being.
Shalom,
Pauline
