Dear FCC family,
Last week, Gary shared “We are called to create an environment as community where people can belong to each other and not just fit in. This is the church redeeming its purpose to be a place that is “free from shame” and “free to be who God created you to be”. That is when all of us at the Free Community Church are reflecting and living out the heart of God.”
Yet, too often, there is confusion that this freedom means folks can do whatever they want, and we sometimes struggle with how to deal with behaviours that are not helpful. When behaviours are harmful, there is clarity of what we actions we should take to address them. But when they are not helpful – we are often at a loss.
I will dive a deeper into what it means to be whole, to belong and to be free – because freedom needs to come with boundaries and accountability so that we can be a safe space to journey as a community towards growth and wholeness in Christ.
