Dear friends,
This week, in the midst of all the anxieties these times bring – i took some time to take a break, and Psalm 121 came to mind in the quietness. Take a moment to read it, reflect on it, and read it again – pause and be still, and may God’s peace take away your anxious thoughts.
Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
God will not let your foot slip—
God who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, God who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm—
God will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
This Sunday, as we approach the end of our sermon series “Blessed: The Be-attitudes,” we have our friend Gwee Li Sui preaching this Sunday on “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called Children of God.”
Shalom,
