Dear friends,
The Covid-19 virus has changed how we live. Many of us are affected by the isolation and lack of social contact. It has changed how we worship. For the past three months or so, we have been gathering virtually as a community to worship. As we get used to online streaming, we are beginning to realise some things work, and some things don’t.
Some of us don’t feel connected – church service feels more like watching a programme online. Some of us miss being in the same space praying and worshipping as well as the social interaction that comes with being in community.
i have had some time to reflect on what does it mean to be a spiritual community during this time of Covid-19. How do we worship when we can no longer gather? As i thought about this, i remember Jesus’ reply to the Samaritan woman – “But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship God in spirit and in truth.”
Join us this Sunday, to explore what it means to worship God in spirit and in truth.
Shalom,
miak
