It has been 13 years. 13 years of adventuring, exploring, growing in Christ. There were ups and there were downs (more ups though!). We learned to be more vulnerable, more wholehearted as a community.
In the past 3 weeks, we celebrated our past, reflected on forgiveness, and looked ahead to the possibilities in the future. Who are we called to be? What unique role has God called FCC to be? We continue to learn and discern. i continue to be excited by all the promptings and inspiration that has sparked in people – like how Christa stepped forward to suggest starting a children’s ministry, like how Chloe, Charis and Charlotte suggested a Kindle library. We can glimpse a little of the future, anchored in our trust and faith in God, the (two) greatest commandment – To Love God, and our neighbours, and “to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God.”
We are far from perfect. We continue to learn. We continue to seek.
This Sunday, we would be showcasing some of the ministries of FCC – how we seek to put our faith into action. We will hear from different folks and their stories. As the finale of our 4 weeks of celebrating, we would have a feast – thanks to our Charity Cafe folks who would be cooking up a storm. The proceeds raised from this Charity Cafe would go to our building fund. Please come join us!
