Dear friends,
This week, we continue our sermon series Love Takes Root, moving from forgiveness that i spoke on last Sunday, to a contrite heart. What happens after forgiveness? I shared that forgiveness is the ground where love can grow. So are the first things that sprout out from the ground of forgiveness? Join me in reflecting on what it means to live after forgiveness – with humility, accountability and hearts that remain open to be being shaped.
We would also like to invite you to save the dates for 1-3 May as many of us would be joining Tong Kwang Church in Taipei to celebrate their 30th anniversary as well as Xiao En’s ordination.
Tong Kwang Church will be hosting International Queer Alliance Christian Conference (IQACC) that weekend, and Amplify would be supporting this as the main regional gathering for the year instead of hosting a separate Amplify Conference this year.
IQACC (1–3 May) will bring together churches and participants from across the Asia Pacific region and will include:
* Worship, witness, and sermons from regional churches
* Workshops in English and Chinese on faith, sexuality, healthy relationships, self-care and more
* Ministry by Taiwan-based and international speakers
* Dedicated streams for worship teams to gather and learn together
* An international combined choir in celebration of Tong Kwang Church’s 30 years
We are encouraging FCC members to start planning not just to attend, but to support and participate in this gathering as an expression of our shared commitment to an inclusive, connected, and missional church.
More details to come soon!
Dates: 1–3 May
