Dear friends,
This Sunday, we are continuing the sermon series “In the World” with “Not to Prove, But to Love,” building on what Pauline had shared about the kin-dom Jesus came to proclaim, and the tender and compassionate heart that we are called to have in the world today.
We are also kicking off this Sunday after service, “Afterword.” It is a session after service where you get to hang out with the pastors to clarify points that were brought up in the sermon, ask us questions, reflect on what was preached. We plan to do this once a month – and that will cover the sermons since the previous sessions, and you are invited to submit your questions (so that you don’t forget!) after service at fcc.li/afterword. Come hang out with me this Sunday!
Finally, last Sunday, we invited folks to contribute to T-mart to get Christmas presents for the T-mart beneficiaries. I am glad to let folks know that we have enough people coming forward so we will be closing the fundraising. We are still inviting donations for the next round of T-mart groceries and we will need volunteers to pack and delivery the groceries on 14 December. The announcement for T-mart will be made on Sunday – please contribute generously and volunteer to help on 13 & 14 December.
