Dear friends,
Over these past weeks, we’ve been reflecting on FCC’s eight values in our sermon series “All That We Are.” Because who we are as the people of God, as the body of Christ, as this beloved community called Free Community Church, is expressed in our values.
We’ve talked about the Imago Dei – being made in the image of God. We’ve talked about Missio Dei – the mission of God. We talked about being open, inclusive, relational, living, relevant, ecumenical – because our faith is not just a set of beliefs, but a way of being — of belonging, of loving, of becoming more like Christ together. And this is how we walk each other towards growth and wholeness in Christ.
Everything we’ve discovered about who we are is meant to prepare us for how we are to live.
Identity leads to mission. Formation leads to action.
And that leads us into the next sermon series – “In The World.”
