Dear friends,
Matthew 5:43-44 Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.“
It is a tall order. Who hasn’t experienced that anger at those who have harmed us and wanting them to suffer as well? But that isn’t what we are called to do as children of God.
The kind of justice God desires is the kind that restores – and not the retributive kind. As we explore Acts 16 – we look closely to how closely tied justice and love are, and how we can grow towards being more Christ-like.
