Christ is Risen! Christ is risen indeed!
We enter into the season of Easter – and we are privileged to have one of our newest member, Rev Dr Amelia Koh-Butler, preach this Sunday, closing our sermon series “Tend” with the sermon “From Tending Death to Tending Life: Mission.”
This week, we join our Catholic siblings in mourning the passing of Pope Francis. He had been exemplifying what it means to follow Jesus as a servant leader, loving the least, the lost and the last. He spoke up for justice and peace, and broke tradition – washing the feet of women, refugees of other faith. Even in his death, he chose to break tradition and not be buried in the Vatican but in Santa Maria Maggiore basilica instead. We pray that we too, learn to be humble servants as we live out our lives learning to be more and more like Christ.
