Dear friends,
This week, we journey with Jesus through the events of Holy Week.
From the upper room where Jesus had the Last Supper with his disciples and washed their feet, to the Garden of Gethsemane on Maundy Thursday, to the betrayals, the trial, and the walk along Via Dolorosa to Golgotha on Good Friday, we journey with Jesus.
It is a journey we take again and again – because it is through death we find the resurrection, and it is through resurrection that we know that love is stronger than death.
It is a journey we are on through the holiest of weeks on the Christian calendar, and as my theology professor Rev Dr Jay Johson says – “we are going right into the very heart of God, where the power of love can change the world.”
In these times when it seems that hate, violence, greed, evil seems to be willing, we need to be reminded – right before Easter Sunday, there was a time when all seemed hopeless and lost.
Join us, as we walk each other on this journey this Holy Week.
Shalom,
miak
