Dear friends,
Happy new year! i hope that 2025 started off well for you.
This Sunday we are starting on our next sermon arc for the season of Epiphany. Those of you familiar with the Christian liturgical calendar will realise that we are still in the season of Christmas season this Sunday – after all, Christmas lasts for 12 days. Epiphany falls on 6 January – and it just happens to be the Monday after.
So this Sunday, i wanted to move a little ahead of the calendar, mark the end of Christmas, and the beginning of Epiphany.
Last Sunday, i invited you to take some time to reflect on 2024, and also think about your hopes for 2025. Looking back in my life, there were years that felt as though i didn’t make any progress. And i have come to see that those years, i just went through life without any direction – just doing the same things over and over again.
Let’s discern together what transformation, growth and change God is inviting us to participate in in 2025. See you this Sunday!
Shalom
