Dear friends,
As we continue with our sermon series with this week’s sermon, “Faith is Worship,” it may sound as though i am stating the obvious. Of course faith is worship – because worship is an external expression of internal faith. Duh. But this Sunday, i want to focus more on having faith when it is difficult to have faith.
I took a break, and spent some time in retreat at Assisi, Italy. It wasn’t my first time there, but it was very different this time as Sister Marietta led a group of us on a pilgrimage to connect with the faith journeys of St Francis, St Clare and their followers. One of the things that stood out was their faith in the face of difficulties and struggles. I would like to share how we can connect with and be inspired by these ancestors of our faith tradition, especially in a time when we ourselves struggle with difficulties and uncertainty.
See you on Sunday!
Shalom
