Dear friends,
It was an amazing celebration last Sunday! Our new seating layout was able to accommodate the large turnout, and many of you stayed back to add your strand onto the mural. We welcome your feedback – please email us at info@freecomchurch.org to let us know how you feel (both good and not so good) about the new seating arrangement and the space so we can take them into consideration as we make changes and tweaks.
Earlier this year, SafeHaven organised the screening of the documentary “1946: The Mistranslation that Shifted a Culture.” Well, i would like to let you know that we helped in translating so that there will be subtitles in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Thai and they would be having screenings in Taipei, Bangkok and Thailand. Gary is leading this and if you are in those cities you are welcome to support!

Pauline will be travelling to South Korea from 4-7 Nov at the invitation of The Asian Women’s Resource Center for Culture and Theology to speak at a workshop that brings together Christians who are working for lgbtq+ people in Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong and Japan. She will be speaking on “Toward a New Ecclesiology for the Full Inclusion of LGBTQ+ Christians in Asia: Kintsugi and The Wounded Healer.”
i will be taking a break and going for a retreat in Assisi, Italy, and getting in touch with locations that were important in the journeys of St Francis and St Clare. Sister Marietta offered this advice to the retreat participants “Open yourself for God’s surprises. God’s Love for everybody is marvellous. God will give you what you need!
We are currently working on our 2025 plans for FCC so that we can present them to you on 24 November 2024. This year, instead of having the business meeting after service, we would be incorporating it into the service as we think about “Church Business as Worship.”
So keep all of us in prayer!
See you this Sunday as Wendy will continue our sermon series with “Rhythm is Worship.”
Shalom
