From the Pastor’s Desk,
Dear friends
In a dialogue yesterday, someone shared a thought that i want to share with you.
He said that in the conversations, he heard two key words – “fear” and “trust.”
I wonder – which mindset are we in? Are we living in fear, or are we living in trust? Often, we talk about the fear of God. The Hebrew word for “fear” – יָרֵא (yare’ Strong’s H3372) can mean afraid, in awe, or in reverence and respect. Here, when i use the word fear, i am talking about being afraid.
We should be in awe, in reverence of God, but i don’t think we should necessarily be fearful of God. Rather we should learn to trust God.
How have you moved from fear to trust on your faith journey? It is something that is good to reflect on.
