Dear FCC family,
The sermon series for this season of Lent is titled “TLC: Tending. Loving. Caring.” Lent is a time of slowing down, reflecting, and preparing. For this season, we want to explore how we tend, love and care for ourselves, each other, and the community around us.
One of the great paradoxes that Jesus taught his disciples is found in Mark 8:35, “For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it.”
What does it mean to lose our lives/selves so we can find our lives/selves, especially in our day and age?
Come join us for service this Sunday as we learn to tend, love, and care better for the sake of the kin-dom of God.
