We are approaching the Lunar New Year season, and I pray this will be a meaningful time for you and your loved ones. As a church family, we will be celebrating with our annual Lunar New Year Reunion Lunch and you can find more details in our announcements below. Do make plans to join us if you can and the registration deadline is 9 February 2024. If you need help with the cost, please don’t hesitate to approach the pastors at info@freecomchurch.org and we will do our best to help. We want to make this event accessible to everyone who wants to be there.
Also, as next Sunday, 11 February is the second day of the Lunar New Year, we will not be having an in-person service onsite at FCC. We hope all our leaders and volunteers can have a good rest and break from serving in ministry. We appreciate each one of you and want to wish everyone a blessed Lunar New Year!
This Sunday, I’ll be preaching on Epiphany: Expecting the Unexpected. This is the last sermon in our Epiphany series before we enter into the season of Lent. In our faith journeys, we sometimes encounter the unexpected and we often fear the uncertainty and discomfort that comes with that. But it’s also in these unexpected moments that God surprises us with new insights, understandings and revelations for our growth and journey ahead. Will we keep our hearts, minds and souls open to what God might have in store?
