Dear FCC family,
This Sunday will be the first day of the Lunar New Year, and Miak and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a very happy, healthy and blessed new year! This year is also FCC’s 20th anniversary, and we have much to be grateful for as we celebrate God’s goodness and faithfulness as a church.
The Lunar New Year is usually a time for family and friends to get together, and we wanted to give the Sunday service and production teams a break so everyone can hopefully have a restful and fun time this holiday season. Our teams have been working tirelessly and serving faithfully week after week so we think it would be really good and important for everyone to get a breather together.
This means there will be NO in-person service this Sunday, 22 January 2023. You can join us for worship online at fcc.li/live and we will be re-broadcasting the New Year’s Day sermon from 1 January 2023. The other components of the service such as the worship songs will be different, and there will also be a special opening message for you by Miak and I at the beginning of this Sunday’s online service.
I would also like to invite you to join us for the FCC Lunar New Year reunion lunch that will be held on Sunday, 5 February 2023 at Kam Boat Teochew Restaurant. We can finally eat together again after two years and we look forward to this special time of fellowship as a family in Christ. You can register at fcc.li/CNY and please register by 27 January 2023 to help the organisers with confirmation of numbers.
In this new year,
May you be well.
May you be happy.
May you know God’s peace.
Shalom,
Pauline
