Dear siblings-in-Christ,
How has this season of Lent been for you?
For me, it has been busier and more challenging than usual because I’m having mid-terms for my MDiv studies, in the midst of a regular preaching load and overseeing the Lent program. But I am reminded that the busier I am, the more important it is for me to find my center and rest in God. It’s not always easy and I have to admit there are days I struggle with maintaining my spiritual practices. But I try to be compassionate on myself (as God is on me) and I start anew each day knowing God’s steadfast love and grace never ceases. I pray it is the same with you.
This evening, we will be coming together for the final session of our Lent prayer series with the focus on ‘Praying for Others’. Have you wondered how and what to pray for others, especially when they are sick or going through a difficult time? Do join us for our session tonight at 8pm at fcc.la/fccprays
This Sunday, we will be completing our sermon series with Here We Grow: Pruning. Looking forward to worshipping with you!
Shalom,
Pauline
