Dear FCC family,
In the midst of the changes and disruptions to work, school and family situations, I hope you are staying well and spiritually grounded. This verse has been on my heart and it is my prayer for you this season: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15). May you find strength in God daily as you continually return and rest.
I have also been praying for the situation in Israel and Palestine. Every time I read news about the escalating violence, I think about our Palestinian Christian tour guide who travelled with and shared her wonderful insights and knowledge with us when our FCC church group visited Israel in 2018. Do join me in prayer for peace and for justice for all who are oppressed, endangered and excluded. Pray for an immediate ceasefire, an end to violence and an end to the loss of life.
As we look on ahead in our church calendar, I would like to invite you to participate in our special Pink Dot service to be held on 13 June 2021. Our focus this year will be on allies and families and if you have a story about an ally or family member who has made a difference in your life and you would like to celebrate them, please contact me at info@freecomchurch.org!
This Sunday, we will be looking at the disciple who failed and how failure can sometimes be an important step towards our growth as a resurrected people.
Shalom,
Pauline
