Dear friends,
Connection and belonging. That’s what we all long for as human beings made in the image of God.
As a church community, we have had to find innovative ways to connect with one another during this time. I am very thankful for technology that allows us to see and talk with each other in virtual chatrooms and to continue holding our Sunday services online. But I know we all miss being physically in the same space, worshipping together and chitchatting over coffee or a meal.
For those of you who miss seeing familiar faces on Sunday mornings, we are starting a pre-service “Coffee & Chitchat” session with gallery view from this Sunday. Bring your favourite beverage, join us at FCClivechitchat from 10:10am, and come say hi to old and new friends. The room will be open till 10:25am and then you just have to click on https://aka.ms/fcclive to join the Sunday service that begins at 10:30am.
During the week, we welcome you to join us for our weekly Wednesday prayer meeting or our final Circuit Breaker Conversation this Friday. We will also be having our monthly newcomers meeting this Sunday after service. If you’re relatively new to FCC or if you’re back worshipping with us after a hiatus, please do join us for the newcomers meeting so we have the opportunity to get to know you and help you get to know us better. Please email info@freecomchurch.org for the link to the newcomers chatroom.
It’s Pentecost Sunday this week and Pentecost reminds us of the power and presence of the Holy Spirit — that we will never walk alone even in the darkest and wildest times. What is the Spirit calling and moving us toward in this season? Come find out more this Sunday.
Shalom,
Pauline
