Dear friends,
Have you ever struggled with trying to meet everyone’s expectations? Sometimes we think as Christians, being loving means being endlessly available. But Jesus’ life shows the opposite.
In this season of Lent, I’d like to explore with you how honoring our limits is an essential part of discipleship. Even Jesus disappointed people. He walked away from crowds that wanted healing. He refused the crown when people wanted to make him king. He withdrew to pray when everyone else wanted more from him. Not because he lacked compassion, but because he trusted God enough to honor his limits, and stay focused on his mission.
Come join us this Sunday as we explore how embracing and honoring our limits allow hope to take root, both in us and in the communities God calls us to nurture.
Also, do prayerfully consider joining us for our regional conference for affirming churches, IQACC, that will be held in Taipei from 1-3 May 2026. This is a unique and wonderful opportunity to fellowship, worship and learn with affirming Christian siblings from all over Asia.
