Dear FCC family,
Happy New Year’s Eve!!
It is the day before the new year and I wonder how you’re feeling? I feel a mix of emotions – an immense sense of gratitude for completing my MDiv this past year, a nagging anxiety about the state of our world, and a glimmer of hope about what 2026 may bring in terms of growth and healing.
As you reflect on 2025 and prepare for 2026, may I invite you to consider joining us for our new program, Rooted in the Word, which is beginning on 7 January?
Whether you are a veteran or a newbie, I highly recommend this program. We will be exploring the origin of the Bible and how it was put together, learn to read it faithfully and responsibly, and consider how it shapes us in a complex world. It will be a very helpful foundation to the deeper study and understanding of the Bible.
Dates: 7 & 21 Jan, 11 & 25 Feb

And for the first Sunday of the new year, we will be exploring what it means that God has chosen and adopted us as we reflect on how Love takes root in our lives. Chosen means God is the one who initiates and God’s love is intentional. Adopted means God’s family is inclusive. Together, they mean much more!
Come join us for the first worship service of 2026 as we remember who we are and whose we are. Let us rededicate ourselves to the One who loves us immeasurably more!
With love and gratitude,
Pauline
