Dear friends,
Last Sunday, I shared about the kin-dom that Jesus came to proclaim, and how different it is from the world’s definition of kingdom which is based on domination, hierarchy and control. Jesus came to show us the kind of king God is, and how the kin-dom is meant to be about relationship, compassion, love and belonging. We explored the concepts of power-over, power-with, and power-to, and I wonder how is your practice of power-with and power-to in your daily life and relationships this week?
This Sunday, we will continue with Part 2 and explore how Jesus maintained a tender and compassionate heart in a harsh and power-hungry world as we study Matthew 14. What can we learn from Jesus so we can do the same in our world today?
