Dear friends,
As Miak mentioned last week, we have been reflecting on FCC’s eight values in our previous sermon series “All That We Are.” Everything we’ve discovered about who we are is meant to prepare us for how we are to live. Identity leads to mission. Formation leads to action. And this leads us into our new sermon series – “In The World.”
Miak spoke passionately about the sacred rhythm of being and doing, and the importance of moving through solitude, community and ministry as the people of God called to the work of love and justice in our world.
This week, I’ll be sharing about the kin-dom that Jesus came to proclaim, and how different it is from the world’s definition of kingdom which is based on domination, hierarchy and control. How do we as kin-dom people live out the values of kinship, mutuality, belonging, and shalom in our world today that is addicted to domination, control, and “might is right” ideology?
Come join us this Sunday!
Shalom,
Pauline
