Dear friends,
We are excitedly looking forward to our 22nd Anniversary service that will be held next week! During this special service on 5 October, we will be baptising four beloved ones and welcoming new members into our community. Come join us for fellowship over lunch and there will lots of fun activities!
This Sunday, we continue on our series, All That We Are, with Community. Community is such an important value to us as a church that the word is embedded in our name, Free Community Church. It’s not always easy building and nurturing a healthy faith community, but I’m grateful to our leaders and members who invest your time, energy, and heart into this endeavour together.
Our theological basis for community is firstly found in God who is a living communion of love: Father, Son, and Spirit. As human beings created in the imago Dei, we are made for community, connection, and relationship, not isolation. We need each other because our spiritual growth and healing happens in community, and not in private perfectionism.
So come worship with us this Sunday as we walk each other towards growth and wholeness in Christ.
