Dear friends,
We begin a new preaching series this Sunday, and in this season leading up to our church’s 22nd anniversary, we will be focusing on telling our story through the lens of our eight values:
- Missional
- Open
- Living
- Relational
- Inclusive
- Community
- Relevant
- Ecumenical
The theme of this preaching series culminating to our anniversary service is “All That We Are” as we seek to bring to light and life how we have grown, evolved and continue to embody these values that undergird who we are, and what we are called to be as a faith community.
The anchor passage for this season is 1 John 3:1-2.
See what love the Creator has given us, that we should be called children of God, and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know God. Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when God is revealed, we will be like God, for we will see God as God is.
