Dear friends,
How has the new year been for you so far? I hope you’re having a meaningful start to 2025.
As Miak mentioned last week, we are starting on our new sermon arc for the season of Epiphany. Epiphany traditionally commemorates the visit of the Magi to the Christ child, and thus Jesus’ physical manifestation to the Gentiles. This was truly a new beginning for the Church, where we recognise no distinction between races, genders, nationalities, etc. In many ways, Epiphany marks new beginnings for us too — new choices, new changes, new outcomes.
Even as God invites us to participate in this journey of transformation and growth, let us remember that our God is the God of new beginnings. Change may be hard but we are not doing this alone. Come join us this Sunday as we reflect on our God who calls you by name.
Shalom
Pauline
