Dear FCC family,
It’s Pink Dot this Saturday, 12 June, and I wonder if you have your pink lights ready? 🙂 As Miak shared last Sunday, being Church is about presence and showing up. For those of us who have the privilege of lighting up, let’s take this opportunity to show up for our neighbourhoods. Perhaps there is a closeted youth living nearby who feels alone and seeing your pink lights will help them know there is a loving and supportive community out there.
In conjunction with Pink Dot, we will be live-streaming a special Pink Dot service this Sunday, 13 June. Our focus this year is on appreciating our allies and family. You will be hearing heartwarming stories of the parents of a transgender child, the journeys of our siblings who are allies, allyship at work and together, let’s appreciate the allies in our lives.
Here’s a small glimpse of what you’ll be seeing this Sunday: https://fb.watch/607o0Xtb_4/
Do invite your family, ally friends as well as those who are struggling to be an ally in your life. We hope these stories will encourage everyone and remind us of our God who is constantly moving and working in all our hearts!
In love,
Pauline
