Dear friends
This Sunday, after service (and lunch!), we would be screening Peterson Toscano’s film “Transfigurations: Transgressing Gender in the Bible.” Peterson Toscano is a playwright, actor, Bible scholar, blogger, podcaster, and gay activist and spent nearly two decades undergoing ex-gay treatment and conversion therapy before accepting his sexual orientation and coming out as a gay man.
Transfigurations is a one-man play that is developed out of his biblical scholarship, looking at characters in a whole new angle. I had to run back to my room after watching him perform in the chapel in my seminary because there was just so much packed into that 1 hour.
So don’t miss it this Sunday!
