Every year, we pack our picnic mats, grab a few coolers of drinks, don our pink tshirts and head down to Pink Dot as a church.
Few of you would know of the people who tell me privately what it means to them that we, a Christian church, is present there. With all that is going on this year, with the barricades coming up, it is even more pressing we show up to testify to God’s love for all. i am very grateful to Chase and Welton for coming up with the idea for a new tshirt this year. “I stand with Pink Dot. I stand with LOVE.”
So make your way with your Pink IC, your pink Tshirts, and join us this Saturday at 5pm. We would be there early so we can, as typical Singaporeans (and PRs), chope a place we can gather and celebrate the freedom to love.

This Sunday, we would also be celebrating Youth Day, and we are celebrating the children in our midst. It is serendipitous that this week’s lectionary passage is Matthew 10:40-42 “Whoever welcomes you welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. Whoever welcomes a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward; and whoever welcomes a righteous person in the name of a righteous person will receive the reward of the righteous; and whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple — truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.”
