Pauline and i kicked off the sermon series as we approach our 15th anniversary service on 7th October. i started first with FREE, and Pauline preached last Sunday on COMMUNITY. This Sunday, i would talk about CHURCH.
The word “church” of late has fallen to disrepute. Scandals rocked many churches. For many people, church became a source of their hurt, rather than a place of healing.
How can we act like Church? How can church be Church? And when is church not Church?
Like Pauline, i am excited at what plans we have. Like Pauline, i am at times overwhelmed by what lies ahead of us. But i always remember where we were when we first started – and how God showed up throughout our journey – from Zion, to Utterly Art, to the Attic, to Yangtze, to Aljunied, to Commonwealth.
