I think about the situation in Hong Kong, I think about the new mothers and babies in our midst, I think about the challenging circumstances that some of you are in, and I ask God, “How can I pray for them? What can I say that would make a difference?” While I trust that God is able to move in our circumstances, I am mindful that prayer often changes the one praying more than the circumstance. Prayer changes us so that we can go out and be the ones to effect change, with God’s help.
So even as I pray for you, do remember to spend time being with God in prayer. May you experience God’s deep, profound love for you and may the joy of our Lord be your strength always.
